I would think this comes from the 1950s. A sugar container in beaten aluminium. Still in good usable condition if a little battered here and there. We found it on a brocante sale in rural France.

This is a classic French salt box in solid hardwood....I think some kind of fruit wood, with a carved flower feature. Its seen some wear and tear, but is still in good clean usable condition. Found on a brocante sale in rural central France.

A small vintage French leather handbag, probably from the 1930s. Brown leather with chromium fastener and trim. In good usable condition with a very small tear at the seam of an outer pocket. Only about an inch (25mm) long, and easily repairable, and in fact, more noticeable in the photo than in real life. The lining is still clean and intact.

A beautiful old pair of French eye glasses with original case. My guess would be 1940s. The lens wipe suggests they are from Chateuroux or Issodun in the heart of France, which is where we found these on a brocante sale. They are still in excellent condition.

This is a classic of the French kitchen. A vintage enamelware salt container, a little battered in places, but an authentic piece of kitchenalia, probably dating back to the 1950s. Still in good usable condition. Found on a brocante sale in rural central France.

We bought these old dip pen nibs on a school stand on a brocante sale in rural central France. Sadly, the school was closing down and selling off all their old supplies, many things dating back to the first half of the last century. I am an artist myself, and can vouch for the fact that these nibs make great instruments for drawing. They give a fine and long lasting line.

There are six in the box, all sold as one unit.

This is a vintage French medical inhaler, once quite common in France, but now, only to be found on brocante sales. This one was found on such a sale in rural France. It is a little battered as you may expect for an object well used, and nearly a hundred years old. A fascinating object of interest and possible decoration.

This is an interesting 8 piece set of vintage French knife rests in a design of a set of blue ceramic fish, so especially appropriate for fish meals. We found these on a brocante sale in rural central France. I can only guess at their age, so possibly 1960s, but still in excellent condition.

This is a genuine Peugeot Freres coffee grinder from the 30s/40s. Some speckles of rust on the top part, but generally seems to be in good order. The person who sold it to us on a brocante sale in France said it was still in working order, and does seem to be, but I couldn't swear to that as I have not tried it. Either way, it is a classic piece of French design, and would look great up on a shelf even just as a decorative piece.
